Meet Ticca Harris — the heart, soul, and creative force behind The Raw Edition Candle Company. As a native of Durham, Ticca turned a personal love for candles into a thriving business. What began as a therapeutic hobby during challenging times has blossomed into a full-blown passion project committed to bringing light, scent, and community together. She pours every candle with intention, infusing warmth, creativity, and a spritely energy that’s truly her own.

 

Our Story & Mission

The Raw Edition Candle Company — rooted in Durham (with connections to Clayton, NC) — is more than just a candle shop. It’s a mobile creative space where customers don’t only purchase hand-poured, soy-wax candles (all lead-, paraben-, parraffin-, and phthalate-free), they also have the chance to create their own. Through classes and hands-on experiences, people learn how to blend scents, pour wax, and craft candles that reflect their personal style or mood.

Our tagline — “Pour. Create. Learn. Burn.” — speaks to our commitment to accessible craftsmanship, creativity, and community. With every candle, we aim to deliver more than a pleasant scent — we aim to deliver memories, comfort, and a little bit of magic.
